Spice up your summer barbecue with the most delicious mix of Middle Eastern herbs and spices to marinate your choice of lamb or aubergine - perfect in a spread with some grilled pitta breads, salads and yogurt.

Middle Eastern BBQ Lamb Recipe

You Need:

8 lamb chops or cutlets (about 700g total weight), or use 2 aubergines for a veg/vegan version - - cut into 1cm thick slices, then sprinkled with ½ tsp salt and left to one side for 30 mins
2 cloves of garlic - finely grated or crushed
1 lemon
1 portion of Middle Eastern BBQ Blend

Method:

Mix the lamb (if using aubergine, pat the slices dry first) with the garlic, juice of ½ the lemon, the MIDDLE EASTERN BBQ BLEND and 2 tbsp oil
Light the BBQ or preheat the grill now
Grill the lamb (including all the marinade and as close to the heat source as possible) for 5 minutes on each side or until just cooked through and charred around the edges
Serve with the remaining ½ lemon on the side to squeeze over at the table
