American Pancakes with Cinnamon Dulce de Leche

Here's something new and delicious to try this pancake day - some fluffy American-style pancakes with a rich and indulgent dulce de leche (meaning ‘sweet milk’ or ‘milk jam’) topping! Dulce de leche is massively popular in many Central and South American countries (having been introduced by the Spanish and Portuguese), and we're giving ours a Mexican flavour with lots of CANELA BLEND and a zesty lime sour cream on top.

Shopping List

  • ½ lime - zested
  • 2 eggs (any size) - beaten
  • 200ml milk (any type)
  • 15g butter
  • 150g sour cream
  • 200g plain flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 200g approx. condensed milk (½ a standard-size tin)
  • A handful of berries or soft fruit to serve
