Pathia has similarities to the hot and sour curries of Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka - it’s a delicious combination of sweet, sour and hot.

This is a great one for a light summer meal with a nice cold glass of dry white wine or a really hoppy pale ale.

  • 1 medium onion - roughly chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic - roughly chopped
  • Fresh ginger - roughly chopped to make 1 tbsp
  • 2 medium tomatoes - cut into wedges
  • ½ lemon
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 tbsp sugar
