This delicious pear cake is really easy to make and bound to be a firm favourite with everybody! The flavour of the pears works really nicely with the sweet-scented QARFA BLEND to add a very subtle Middle Eastern fragrance to this classic recipe.

  • 110g butter - softened
  • 2 eggs (any size)
  • 200g sugar (demerara is best)
  • 150g plain flour
  • 75g ground almonds
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • A handful of flaked almonds (optional)
  • Greek yogurt or whipped cream to serve
