Mexican-Style Cornish Pasties

Inspired by the modern-day popularity of pasties in Mexico (which are a legacy of Cornish miners who worked there in the late 19th Century), we're using our Taco Legend blends to add a bit of Mexican flavour to this Cornish favourite! The smoky Chipotle and rich Ancho chilli blends add a lovely depth of smoky flavour to make a lovely lunch dish or as a snack at any time of day!

Shopping List

  • 250g beef or pork mince
  • 100g streaky bacon or chorizo (optional)
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 sweet potato (around 250g total weight)
  • 10g bunch of coriander (optional)
  • 150g butter
  • 1 egg (any size)
  • 300g plain flour (plus extra for rolling)
  • 2 tbsp vinegar (white wine or cider vinegar is best)
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 tbsp milk (any type)
