The clue to the origin of Milanesa is of course in the name, but this dish of fried, breadcrumbed chicken or veal has been thoroughly ‘Mexicanised’ over the years to become a favourite across the country. It’s served there either with rice and beans as a main course, or in a bread roll with a spoonful of salsa as a snack.
