Sweet & Sour Sauce

It's almost impossible to imagine a Chinese takeaway meal without a pot of delicious sweet & sour sauce on the side! Here we're using orange juice as a base together with ginger, garlic and the Noodle Legend spices to give some extra fragrance and depth of flavour. It makes a very welcome accompaniment to any Noodle Legend feast!

Shopping List

1 clove of garlic - roughly chopped
Fresh ginger - roughly chopped to make 1 tsp
200ml fruit juice (orange is best but any type is fine) or just use water
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tbsp soy sauce (any type)
3 tbsp vinegar (rice, white wine or cider vinegar is best)
50g sugar
1 tbsp cornflour
2 tsp sesame oil (optional)

LA JIAO BLEND: ½ tsp

MA LA BLEND: ½ tsp

ZHIMA BLEND: tsp
