Tacos Árabes

In the 19th century, Lebanese immigrants fled Ottoman rule and settled in Puebla in Mexico. A fusion of the two cuisines resulted in the invention of tacos árabes - traditional lamb was substituted with chicken and cooked on a vertical rotisserie like a doner kebab, then piled into soft pitta breads with Mexican salsa.
