Aloo Gosht

Aloo Gosht

Aloo Gosht is a slow-cooked lamb and potato curry cooked mainly in Northern India and Pakistan; winters there can be surprisingly cold so this warming stew-like dish is just the ticket!

Cook it as a fantastic alternative to your usual winter warmers.

To make this recipe, you'll need:

A lovely-mid spiced curry with a good depth of flavour. I made this on the hob, but I'm thinking next time it could be a candidate for a slow cooker day. We made ours with onion, garlic, chilli, potato tomatos and the cucumber from the allotment. Would definitely have this again, wish you did this one as a refill blend.

Aloo Gosht cooked outside in a potjie on the open fire. After this it was left to simmer for 25-30 mins. Delicious and a big hit with our guests.
