Cold Sesame Noodles

A cold noodle salad is just the thing to cool down with on a hot day, and this simple salad is ideal for a picnic or at a barbeque. You can adjust the basic recipe in any way you prefer - add cooked prawns or shredded raw vegetables instead of chicken, or some chopped fresh chilli for extra heat!

Shopping List

  • 200g approx. cooked shredded chicken
  • 250g beansprouts or use 1 x 400g tin of beansprouts - drained and rinsed
  • 1 clove of garlic - finely grated or crushed
  • 10g bunch of coriander (optional) - roughly chopped
  • 300g pre-cooked noodles (any type) or use 125g approx. dried noodles
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (any type)
  • 1 tbsp vinegar (rice, white wine or cider vinegar is best)
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter (smooth is best but any type is fine) or use tahini or nut butter
  • 1 ½ tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil

MA LA BLEND: ½ tsp

ZHIMA BLEND: 8 tsp
