Devilled New Potatoes

The culinary term 'devil' first appeared in the 19th Century as a verb meaning 'to cook something with fiery hot spices or condiments', and this easy side dish is a great way to spice up new potatoes! The potatoes here are coated in a thick sauce that's both hot and tangy from the addition of fresh chilli, vinegar and plenty of spices - serve them as a side dish at a barbeque, or with a piece of grilled fish or chicken for an injection of piquant heat.
