JUNE: Date Night in Singapore
To be sent on:

Mouth-watering dishes from multicultural Singapore...

More info

Singaporeans love to eat, and everywhere you go in the city there’s always a hawker centre or food stall nearby, so you’re never far from a delicious meal or snack! To begin this date night, we’ve got a Singaporean favourite, chicken satay - spicy skewers served with a sweet and tangy peanut sauce and a simple cucumber salad. Next up, curry laksa, a dish with everything you need in one bowl - noodles, beansprouts and prawns covered in a mildly spiced coconut broth served with a fiery chilli sambal. Finally, for dessert we have a popular street food called pisang goreng, moreish banana fritters flavoured with cinnamon, allspice and ginger topped with a coconut syrup.

This is hands down one of our favourite spice kits! Each dish is really tasty in its own right, and the cook was quite straightforward for all of it. I hope this comes back in stock soon so we can buy it again.

This was excellent. Can't fault the satay chicken or the laksa and the banana pisang goreng was delicious, especially with the coconut syrup. The beansprout salad was a bit pointless though!

"Outrageously good" to quote my partner.

We loved it. We decided to go with rice and thicken the sauce more. Easy to follow recipe, just so tasty!

Wow. Just wow! We splurged and had a chicken tikka and pakora box on Friday night and thought that couldn't be topped. How wrong we were! I could eat the peanut sauce on its own. The chilli sambal certainly put a few hairs on my chest with the start...

Amazing! Our neighbours bought us a date night subscription and it’s such a lovely idea. I love cooking and my partner lives eating so this was perfect. Everything was so tasty. Looking forward to Trinidad on Sunday!
