Kofte Burgers

Enjoy a Mezze Legend twist on a classic burger this summer, with this simple kofte served in a pitta. The rich, spicy burger is contrasted fabuloulsy by a cooling cucumber and yogurt tzatziki sauce, which makes a lovely fresh change from a mayonnaise or ketchup-based burger sauce.

  • 500g lamb mince or use veggie mince
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 10g bunch of parsley or mint
  • ½ cucumber
  • ½ lemon
  • 150g natural yogurt (Greek is best)
  • 4 ½ Pitta breads (½ to make the kofte, the other 4 to serve)
  • Salad and chips to serve
