We're giving cheese on toast the Spicery treatment with a delicious curry-flavoured twist! The spice blend of turmeric, mustard seeds, cumin, coriander and chilli gives a fabulous colour and a kick of heat, and you could also use a mix of any leftover cheeses from Christmas for even more colour and flavour!  

Recipe

Masala Cheese on Toast Recipe

You Need:

½ small red onion or 2 spring onions (optional) - finely chopped
200g cheddar cheese - coarsely grated
1 tbsp vinegar (white wine or cider vinegar is best)
1 tsp sugar
4 slices of bread

Method:

Preheat the grill
Mix the vinegar with the sugar, MASALA CHEESE ON TOAST BLEND and ¼ tsp salt until the sugar has dissolved then stir in the cheese and onion (if using)
Grill the slices of bread for 2 minutes or until golden-brown on both sides, then dot the cheese mixture on top to cover the entire surface
Grill for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbling, and beginning to brown in patches
