Paneer Tikka Masala

The word tikka means little pieces and has become synonymous with the dish consisting of small chunks of meat, vegetables or paneer marinated and cooked in a tandoor oven.

Here pieces of charred paneer are added to a rich, creamy sauce to make a deliciously indulgent dish.

  • 2 x 226g paneer cheese - cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 cloves of garlic - finely chopped
  • Fresh ginger - finely chopped to make 1 tbsp
  • 2 tomatoes - finely chopped
  • ½ lemon
  • 50g butter
  • 75g natural yogurt (full fat is best)
  • 75ml cream (any type)
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 tbsp sugar
