A beansprout dish may not sound particularly exciting, but these stir-fried beansprouts have a lovely juicy texture, and their delicate flavour is really enhanced with the soy-based sauce. It makes a very simple, but surprisingly satisfying and delicious side dish!

  • 500g beansprouts or use 2 x 400g tins of beansprouts - drained and rinsed
  • 1 bunch of spring onions - cut into 3cm lengths
  • 1 clove of garlic - finely grated or crushed
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (any type)
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
