Sweet and sour is probably the most popular dish on a classic Chinese restaurant menu, and now you can make an easy Noodle Legend version at home! This simple recipe has all the classic sweet and sour flavours, but also a bit of extra fragrance from our BADIAN BLEND and a tiny touch of heat from the LA JIAO BLEND.

Shopping List

  • 500g diced chicken
  • 1 onion - cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 clove of garlic - finely grated or crushed
  • Fresh ginger - finely grated or chopped to make 1 tbsp
  • 1 pepper (any colour) - cut into bite-size pieces
  • ½ medium pineapple (or approx. 200g ready-prepared) - cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (any type)
  • 60ml vinegar (rice, white wine or cider vinegar is best)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tsp cornflour
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil (optional)

LA JIAO BLEND: ½ tsp

MA LA BLEND: ½ tsp
