Unlike shami or seekh kebabs, shashlik are made with diced (rather than minced) meat. Here the meat is marinated with lemon juice and spices then grilled to make a really simple dish that’s great as a main course with rice and salad, or serve at a summer BBQ with homemade naans and a sweet chutney.

I love shashlik kebabs, but first time doing it with festival rice (and all the suggested sides in Curry Legends Chef’s Soecials. I used dried cranberries rather than raisins because I had them in the cupboard and a combination of peppers and green chillies in the kebabs. Didn’t add chilli to rice or salad as not needed due to adding to kebab.
